The Giving is Good Wednesday evening concert series invites local songwriters and musicians to join in by bringing their talent to the stage, people together, and support the nonprofits on campus who serve our community every day through donations collected for admission.
MELD's sound can be described as "UniverSOUL." A cinematic, soulful experience, people have called Melanie Dewey (frontwoman/songwriter,) the next queen of the jam scene, and likened their sound to a modern Janis Joplin / Tedeschi-Trucks meets Hiatus Kaiyote. In November 2020 shortly after the loss of both Melanie's father and aunt, and deep in the throes of a national election and global pandemic, MELD's debut album "Words of the Water" was birthed into the world.
